มูลนิธิแม่ฟ้าหลวง ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ ได้มอบเงินจำนวน 1,500,000 บาท (หนึ่งล้านห้าแสนบาทถ้วน) ให้แก่โครงการอาหารโลกแห่งองค์การสหประชาชาติ (The United Nations World Food Programme: WFP) เพื่อสนับสนุนการจัดหาอาหารและความช่วยเหลือด้านโภชนาการแก่ประชาชนที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากเหตุการณ์แผ่นดินไหวในสาธารณรัฐแห่งสหภาพเมียนมา
เงินบริจาคนี้มาจากส่วนหนึ่งของเงินสมทบของมูลนิธิฯ เอง ร่วมกับพันธมิตรทางธุรกิจ รวมถึงผู้บริจาคที่ร่วมสมทบทุนผ่านมูลนิธิฯ ทั้งในนามองค์กรและบุคคล เพื่อส่งต่อความช่วยเหลืออย่างเร่งด่วนไปยังผู้ที่กำลังเดือดร้อน
เงินสนับสนุนดังกล่าวจะนำไปใช้ในระยะที่สองของการดำเนินงานด้านมนุษยธรรม โดยมุ่งเน้นการให้ความช่วยเหลืออย่างตรงจุด ฟื้นฟูความเป็นอยู่ของผู้ประสบภัย และเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งให้กับชุมชนในพื้นที่ที่ได้รับผลกระทบ
ในการนี้ หม่อมหลวงดิศปนัดดา ดิศกุล เลขาธิการและประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร มูลนิธิแม่ฟ้าหลวงฯ ได้เป็นผู้แทนมูลนิธิในการส่งมอบเงินสนับสนุน ณ สำนักงานโครงการอาหารโลก ประจำกรุงเทพฯ
Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage has donated THB 1,500,000 (one million five hundred thousand baht) to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to provide life-saving assistance to affected populations by the recent earthquake in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
This contribution also supports the second phase of WFP’s operations, which focuses on targeted support, livelihood recovery, and strengthening the resilience of the hardest-hit communities.
The donation reflects a collective effort—mobilized by the Foundation itself, with generous support from its extensive network of business partners and individuals who entrusted the Foundation to deliver aid swiftly and effectively to those in urgent need.
M.L. Dispanadda Diskul, Secretary-General and Chief Executive Officer of Mae Fah Luang Foundation, represented the Foundation in handing over the donation at WFP’s Asia and the Pacific Regional Office in Bangkok.
